OU’s Oklahoma Canyon Garden is one of the more recent and, perhaps, the most innovative landscaping project on campus. It is located between the west entrance of Bizzell Memorial Library and the clock tower, at the bottom of a light well for Bizzell Library work areas. The garden produces the effect of a remote canyon complete with native boulders, a variety of trees, and the sound of rushing water from a natural spring. OU President David L. Boren and First Lady Molly Shi Boren developed the concept of the garden and personally funded its completion.
